Sylvia Mallory – Writer & Ceramic Artist

Sylvia Mallory is a writer, storyteller, and ceramic artist whose work delves into the divine feminine within the universe, our bodies, and the symbols of womanhood. She is currently sculpting figurines that celebrate fat joy as a way to confront her own fatphobia and history with disordered eating as a fat woman. Creative writing and poetry naturally flow into her artistic practice, with her #slabpoetry series set to debut in summer 2025.

Sylvia discovered ceramics two years ago and fell in love with handbuilding and sculpture. She is a studio member of Clay Ground in Richmond, VA. In addition, Sylvia is the founder and owner of The Crone House, a gallery that celebrates the women and femmes still making art.
