The Crone House honors and acknowledges that we gather on the ancestral lands of the Powhatan peoples, including the Chickahominy, Pamunkey, Mattaponi, Upper Mattaponi, Nansemond, Rappahannock, and other tribes of what is now known as Richmond, Virginia.

These lands were nurtured by Indigenous communities long before colonization, and we recognize the deep, ongoing relationships between these peoples and the land, waters, and spirit of this place. We give gratitude to the original stewards of this land and commit to learning, unlearning, and supporting Indigenous sovereignty and creativity—past, present, and future
